Tin-glazed earthenware, moulded in the shape of leaves, and painted in green and manganese
Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed bluish-white, and painted in yellow, yellowish-green, and manganese-purple. The body is moulded in the form of overlapping leaves with a curling twig handle, and stands on an oval foot with slanting gadroons round the edge. The leaves and stem are painted naturalistically in the three colours. The underside of the foot is inscribed 'Mrs. Taylor/STAMFOrD/1755' . One of a pair.
