Description

White earthenware transfer-printed in ochre-yellow, painted underglaze blue, overglaze in red and yellow enamels, and gilt. The saucer is circular with deep, curved sides, and flat base, slightly recessed underneath. Decorated outside with two Japan pattern arrangements of flowers and foliage, with three smaller sprays above, a sprig in the middle of the interior, and a spray down the back of the handle. Round the rim is a border of striped triangles with red and yellow half flowers at intervals
