Description

Frtiware, incised and coated in a two shades of blue glaze

Fritware, probably wheel thrown, incised and coated in two shades of blue crazed glaze
Shape: biconical bowl, carinated at the shoulder with a “hammer head” style rim, sits on a low, wide foot ring.
Interior: Lightly incised lines radiate from the roundel under the glaze. A dark blue glaze covers the rim and pools in the roundel, with the remainder a lighter blue.
Exterior: lightly incised lines on the neck appear pseudo-calligraphic. Light blue glaze covers the lower body unevenly, running onto the foot ring. The underside of the foot ring is covered with a turquoise glaze.
