Pottery: Liverpool (Probably)
Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, sage-green, yellow, brownish-red and manganese-purple with flowers and foliage
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in blue, sage-green, yellow, brownish-red, and manganese-purple . Circular with a wide rim and shallow well standing on a footring. The front is decorated in the middle with a large arrangement of flowers and foliage, and on the rim with six floral sprays. On the reverse, under the rim, there are four 'herbal sprigs' and in the middle, a '3'.
History note: Purchased about 1905 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge

Delftware decorated with 'Fazackerley' colours was also made in Bristol, but the brightness of those on this dish suggest that it was made in Liverpool.
