Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue

Buff earthenware, moulded and covered with very pale blue glaze, painted in blue. Octagonal with a sloping rim with raised edge, and oval well with curved sides and almost flat centre (no footring). The well is decorated with a large branch with several different flowers, and the rim has alternate panels of diaper pattern and flowers. On the reverse there are two meandering ribbons or twigs
