Slip-coated earthenware painted in manganese-purple, olive-green, red and yellow with flowers
Buff earthenware, coated overall except for the back with white slip, and painted in olive-green, red, yellow, and manganese-purple under a clear lead-glaze. The cistern is semi-circular in plan with straight sides and two twisted handles on opposing sides. The domed top is cut away at the back, and is surmounted by an applied twist. In the middle of the front, a mask in relief is flanked by painted sprays of flowers, and below it, there is a hole in which is inserted a brass tap in the from of a monster's head.
