Description

Off white hard-paste porcelain seated woman playing a pipa, seated on rockwork. Press moulded, assembled and clear glazed. Her hair is dressed high above her forehead and in a coiled chignon at the back. She wears a long sleeved gown and an over tunic with scrolls on the shoulders, which is tied in a bow at the front under her bust. She has her right knee bent and rests her pipa on her right thigh, supporting it at the top with her left hand, and playing it with her right
