Man holding a Candlesocket
Production: Unidentified Westerwald pottery
Press-moulded grey salt-glazed stoneware. A man standing holding in both arms a cylindrical socket for a candle. He wears a long curly wig, a full-skirted coat with a pleat at centre back, with lacework on the sleeves, and jack boots. The heart-shaped base is covered with foliage in relief.
