Fritware, probably wheel thrown, painted in blue and black under a colourless, cracked glaze
Shape: inverted pear shaped jar with narrow collar neck and triangular rim, sits on a low foot ring
Exterior: on the body a diaper pattern of black lozenges and blue dots, while on the neck a black cross-hatch pattern with blue dots. The glaze runs unevenly over the exterior foot ring but the underside is not covered.
Interior: glazed but otherwise undecorated
