Description

Stoneware with a cream, iron-speckled glaze, painted in cobalt and iron with fish and weed above horizontal bands. Circular with deep sides, curving outwards from the narrow base, then upwards and slightly inwards towards the rim

History note: Purchased from Henry Rothschild Associates Ltd., after exhibition at Kettles Yard, Cambridge, Thirty-Seven Potters return to Kettles Yard. Together with Strange Delights gathered by Henry Rothschild in Europe and Overseas, no. 158
