Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue with a gentleman and flowering sprays on each side.

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed bluish-white and painted in blue. Of elongated octagonal form with a flat top and a short cylindrical neck to take a cover, now missing. The top is decorated with two winged putto's heads and serrated edged leaves reserved in a blue ground.The two long sides are decorated respectively with a European gentleman standing holding his hat, and a lady holding up her skirt. The two ends are decorated with a flowering spray, and the other four sides with serrated edged leaves reserved in a blue ground. T
