Cream-coloured, lead-glazed earthenware tankard, double interlaced handle with terminals of flowerheads and foliage.
Cream-coloured earthenware with lead glaze. Cylindrical with beaded rim and base and a double interlaced reeded handle with upper and lower terminals comprising a flowerhead with foliage below.

Mugs of this type were made at both Swinton and the Leeds Pottery. However, the terminals on the upper and lower ends of the double handle are similar to fragments found on the site of the Leeds Pottery, which began production in 1770.
