Description

Porcelain, thrown, and cut round the rim, with engraved decoration under a very pale Y'Ching celadon glaze. Deep circular bowl with upward curving octagonal rim, standing on a footring.

History note: Purchased after exhibition at Cambridge, Kettles Yard, 8-22 May 1983, Thirty-Seven Potters return to Kettles Yard,Together with Strange Delights gathered by Henry Rothschild in Europe and Overseas, no. 209.
