Production: Unidentified Nevers pottery
Tin-glazed earthenware plate painted in blue, green, yellow, and manganese-purple with a standing figure of St Peter holding a key, followed by a crowing cock, below which is the name and date, 'Pierre Biniront/1762'. The rim is decorated with a border of stylized floral sprays, insects, and hash signs
