Tin-glazed earthenware plate painted in blue, green, yellow, manganese-purple with the Virgin standing holding the Christ Child, trees, and a border of pansy or viola sprays, and a yellow line near the edge

History note: M.onsieurTaurine, Rouen, from whom purchased on October 21, 1925 for 85 francs (about 17/- at the then rate of exchange) by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
