Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, yellow, orange, brown, and manganese-purple. The Virgin stands holding the Christ Child in her left arm. She wears a crown and a veil over her long gown. Most of the group is left white with the features painted naturalistically, and the outlines of the costume lightly delineated in the various colurs. The eight-sided base is unglazed and concave underneth with a ventilation hold in the middle.
