Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue in the style of Bérain
Earthenware, moulded, with applied footring pierced by two holes, tin-glazed, and painted in blue. The dish is circular with a wavy six-sided riim and shallow sides, standing on a straight-sided footring. The front is decorated with a symmetrical design in the style of Bérain, comprising a nude putto on a pedestal, flanked by female terminal figures linked by swags of cloth, and ewers on pedestals, with below the putto, a vase filled with fruit and foliage linked by scrolling foliage to the pedestals supporting the ewers. Round the outer edge there is narrow border of small flowers and stylized foliage, and a broad blue line. Three peg marks on rim at 12, 4, and 8 o'clock.
