Description

Buff earthenware, moulded, decorated with applied shreds of clay, tin-glazed except for the underside of the base, and painted in blue, pale greyish-brown, red, and manganese-purple, The poodle is seated on a flat rectangular base. Its head, shoulders and muzzle are covered with shreds of clay coloured pale greyish-brown to represent curling hair, and it has a red tongue projecting from its mouth. It has large eyes and eyebrows outlined in manganese-purple, and blue irises. The tail has been broken off. One of a pair with C.2387B-1928.
