Description

Buff earthenware, moulded, decorated with applied shreds of clay, tin-glazed except for the underside of the base, and painted in blue, pale greyish-brown, red, and manganese-purple, The poodle is seated on a flat rectangular base. Its head, shoulders and the tip of its muzzle are covered with shreds of clay coloured pale greyish-brown to represent curling hair, and it has a red mouth with a projecting tongue. Its large eyes and eyebrows are outlined in blue, and the nostrils and the claws on its feet are outlined in manganese-purple. The end of its short tail has a small tuft of shredded clay.
