Description

Stoneware, stained stoneware and porcelain, forming a tortoise shell pattern on both sides. Of broad oval outline, shallow D in section, standing on a small base, with a D-shaped mouth at the top.

History note: Purchased after exhibition at Cambridge, Kettles Yard, 8-22 May 1983, Thirty-Seven Potters return to Kettles Yard/Together with Strange Delights gathered by Henry Rothschild in Europe and Overseas, no. 236
