Note

The Porcelain Dish Factory (De Porceleyne Schotel) operated from 1598 to 1791. The mark on this jar indicates that it was made during the directorship of Johannes van Duijn between 1764-72.

When new the jar would probably have been provided with a wooden or brass cover.
