Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue. Oviform with a short cylindrical neck. The neck is decorated with a border of birds in panels reserved in a blue ground. The rest of the body is painted with pearcoks and small birds amongs scattered pseudo-Chinese flowers.

History note: Mr George Jennings of Walkerswill, Southwold, from whom purchased for £5.10s.0d. on 1 June 1907 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge.
