Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue with floral sprays in medallions
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in blue. Circular with sloping rim, shallow curved sides, and flat centre, standing on a footring. Decorated in the centre with a circular medallion containing a stylized floral spray with a border of alternating panels of trellis diaper and a stylized flower. This is surrounded by seven radiating ferns between panels enclosing a similar floral spray. Round the edge there is a border of alternating panels of trellis diaper and an oval medallion containing an insect. On the reverse there are O and III motifs on the back of the well and in the middle the initials WP joined over 3.
