History note: Puttick & Simpsons, sale of 27 June 1919, lot 15; sold for hammer price of 130 guineas (£136 10s.) to Mr Stoner; who sold it for £200 to Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge, on whose behalf he had bid for it.
