Tin-glazed earthenware lobed dish painted in blue with a half-figure of William III, initials K W, tulips and draped up curtains surrounded by a border of Chinese scroll and leaf ornament
Buff earthenware moulded, tin-glazed, and painted in blue with darker blue outlines (trek). Circular with eight slanting lobes on the everted rim and deep sides, standing on a footring. In the middle is a half-figure of William III wearing a crown, a wig, and armour, with the initials KW above, and on either side a tulip on a spray of leaves extending up the sides. On the sides below, there are three leaf sprigs, and above , two draped curtains with two tassels suspended between them over the King's head. Round the rim there is a border of Chinese scroll-foliage and a wide blue band. On the back is the number 18.
History note: Mr George Jennings , Walberswick, near Southwold, Suffolk from whom purchased for £3.10s. at the end of July 1907 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
