Flower vase in the form of an obelisk on a heart-shaped base, of tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green, yellow and red with flowering plants, birds, and scrolling foliage
Earthenware, moulded in sections, assembled, tin-glazed, and painted in blue, green, a little yellow, and red high-temperature colours. In the form of an obelisk of flattened rectangular section, the lower part heart-shaped with four spouts on the shoulders, two lizard handles, and a four-sided rectangular base; the upper part in the form of a flattened pyramid with four tiers, each of which has four spouts for flowers, the finial is missing. The underside of the foot is slightly concave The front and back of the upper part are decorated with prunus, chrysanthemums and other flowers and birds on a white ground. The two sides have foliated scrolls and flloral sprays reserved in a red ground. The tiers are divided by projecting borders of flowers reserved in a blue ground, and red zigzags on a white ground. The heart-shaped lower part is decorated with groups of flowering plants and flying birds: two on one side and one on the other. The lizards and the supports for the upper part are green. The foot has two panels with a blue and red stylized plant on a white ground, and two with a flower and scrolls in blue, red and green reserved in a green gound. The edge has a repeating border of red points flanked by scrolls

The vase was attributed to either Lambertus van Eenhoorn at the Metal Pot or Louwijs Fictoorsz at the Double Jug factory, but it seems more likely to have been the former.
