Description

Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed, and painted in pale shades of blue, green, and yellow with bluish-black outlines. The dish is circular with a scalloped edge, gadrooned rim and sides, and slightly convex centre, standing on a footring. In the middle there is a peacock standing among stems of tulips and other flowers, with a ribbon at their base. The rim is encircled by a continuous wavy stem bearing alternating tulips and daisy-like flowers with tendrils and leaves.
