Brown earthenware, press-moulded. slip-trailed in cream, and lead-glazed
Brown earthenware, press-moulded over a hump mould, decorated on the front with slip trailing in cream, and lead-glazed. The reverse is undecorated. The dish is circular with deep curved sides. The front is decorated with intersecting slip-trailing to create a design resembling loose darning. Some of the lines have been combed. The back is incised with the name and date 'W FIELD/1771'.
