Unidentified Delft Pottery (Pottery)


Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green, yellow, orange and manganese high temperature colours. The Virgin stands holding the Christ Child in her left arm, supported on a cylindrical pedestal on a square base, hollow underneath.\par


History note: Bought in Lucerne in 1901 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
