Dog
Production: Unidentified Delft factory
Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed, and painted in green, yellow, and manganese-purple. The dog is seated on a shallow oval base with a green edge, which is flat underneath. His head is raised and his tail curves round the end of the base. He has manganese features, ears, and tail, and his white body is scattered with large manganese spots. Round his neck he has a yellow collar with a manganese object suspended from it, perhaps a flask.
