Standing Chinese Woman
Maker: Wolbeer Factory
Tin-glazed earthenware painted on the front and sides in blue and yellow, with a little green
Buff earthenware, press-moulded, tin-glazed inside and outside, and painted in blue, yellow, and greyish-green. The woman stands on a shallow square base which is open underneath. She wears a close-fitting turban-like hat coloured in bands of the three colours; a yellow roll choker with a blue bow or clasp at the front; and a long robe which conceals her hands, and is decorated on the front only with blue and yellow floral sprays. Her shoes are yellow.
