Description

Earthenare, moulded, tin-glazed and painted in dark purple and green. The lower part of the bunch of grapes has a stalk and seven leaves wrapped around its underside. The cover has one leaf and a long curling tendril. The outside is painted naturalistically; the inside is undecorated

Note

This bunch of grapes box was attributed to Franfurt an der Oder by Rackham (1935), where a faience factory was founded in 1770. Similar bunch of grapes boxes with stalks and leaves were made in Delft.
