Description

Soft-paste porclelain, with pierced shoulder, decorated with applied flowers, foliage, and a frill, and painted in enamel colours, and gilding

Soft-paste porcelain, pierced, painted overglaze in blue, green, yellow, and pink enamels, and gilt. The base is partly glazed and has three patchmarks. Of baluster shape with vertical fluting stopping at the rounded shoulder which is pierced with panels of openwork studded with small yellow-centred blue flower heads. The short neck is pierced by six holes and has a band of gilding round the rim. On each side is a female-mask surrounded by applied pink flowers and leaves. Round the lower part there is a 'frill' of blue and yellow projecting shells, with yellow-centered pink flower heads. The underside of the 'frill' is decorated with moulded white glazed flower heads. Each side of the body is decorated with two curved sprays of applied flowers and foliage. The flared foot has a band of gilding and scattered flower heaads.
