Soft-past porcelain moulded with decoration in relief, and painted underglaze in blue with Chinese landscapes, and borders
Soft-past porcelain moulded with decoration in relief, and painted underglaze in blue. The cup has deep curved sides, and a loop handle, and stands on a triangular footring. The sides are decorated in relief with three circular panels with beaded frames, separated by tapering lattice panels flanked by flowers and foliage. The three panels are painted with Chinese landscapes, and there is a 'key and cell' border below the rim, and a single horizontal line round the footring. The back of the handle is decorated with a double scroll. The circular saucer has shallow curved sides and a triangular footring. Its sides are decorated en suite with the cup, and in the centre it has a circular medallion containing a floral spray. Part of a set.
