Potter: Unknown
Earthenware vase, slip coated, painted with brown and green-blue and glazed.
Pinkish-buff earthenware, urn-shaped with a short cylindrical neck and everted rim. The exterior is coated in a mustard-cream slip and painted in thick vertical strokes of brown over blue-green, such that most of the neck, shoulder and upper of the body appears brown with blue-green and cream highlights, while the lower body is mainly mustard-cream, with the colours guided in thin runs to the base. The inside of the neck is unevenly covered with thin slip. The underside is slightly concave and painted with slip and some brown colour. The whole, except the foot-rim, is coated with clear glaze.
