Description

Lead-glazed earthenware jug covered with dark red slip, with decoration cut through it, before the application of a yellow glaze. Pear shaped with flaring mouth and loop handle. On the front is a stag running, with its neck 'broken' by a band running round the body of the jug. Above the band, to the right of the stag's head, is the date '1728'
