Bone china figure of John Wesley preaching, standing on a shallow octagonal base, panted in enamels, and gilded

Porcelain of bone china type, painted overglaze in yellowish-green, flesh, red, yellowish-brown, grey, and black enamels, and gilded. The underside is flat and unglazed round the edges, and concave and glazed in the middle. The base is octagonal with shallow straight sides and flat top, dappled in shades of yellowish-green and -brown. Wesley stands with his feet together facing the front, holding a book in his left hand and raising his right hand (missing). He has shoulder-length grey hair, a healthy complexion, black eyes, and red lips, and wears white falling bands, a black cassock, a black gown, and black boots. The book has a red binding, and gold edges. A gold band runs round the side of the base.
