Factory: Doccia Porcelain Factory
Hard-paste porcelain, moulded and glazed
Greyish-white hard-paste porcelain, moulded, and glazed on the front. The unglazed back is very speckled, and has an iron suspension ring inserted into the porcelain behind the figure. The term is in the form of a winged boy who leans forward with his head tilted to his right, and holds both hands in front of him, the left slightly higher than the right, as if holding a pipe. His torso springs from a tapering fluted pedestal with a looped up drape at the top, and two small scrolls at the lower end which stands on a flat rectangular base. Behind the boy is a flat back with two scrolls at the top which support his head.
