Description

Winepot and cover. Hard-paste porcelain painted in iron-red, yellow, green aubergine, turquoise, blue and black enamels with emblems of the 'Hundred Antiques'.

Winepot and cover. Hard-paste porcelain painted in iron-red, yellow, green aubergine, turquoise, blue and black enamels. Of lobed quatrefoil section, the upright sides are supported on four short feet and divided into four panels containing members of the 'Hundred Antiques'. The angled shoulders are also divided into four panels of pale green-ground yellow floral scrollwork reserved with Emblem vignettes. The tall curved spout is centred on a flower-vase and decorated with floral sprigs and the upright loop handle is painted in yellow and black to simulate bamboo. The short straight neck has a border of red scrolls repeated round the rim the the domed cover (A) has a conical knop.
