Description

Beaker and saucer. Hard paste-porcelain painted in green, yellow, iron-red, aubergine and blue enamels with details in black and gilding with 'Antiques' and Buddhist lions within lotus-petal panels.

Beaker and saucer. Hard-paste porcelain painted in green, yellow, iron-red, aubergine and blue enamels with details in black and gilding. The saucer has a central blue chrysanthemum flowerhead medallion encircled by four lotus-petal panels alternately enclosing 'Antiques' and Buddhist lions perched on stools, a green and red cell-diaper boarder reserved with four floral vignettes round the rim, repeated round the interior rim of the beaker. The exterior has matching lotus panels of 'Antiques' and lions.
