Pottery: Unknown
Tin-glazed earthenware punch bowl, with straight expanding sides and a curved bottom. Of a greyish tin glaze. Polychrome with flowers and Chinese leaf symbols, in blue, dark green, and iron red. With exotic birds among flowers.
History note: Cecil Baring, 3rd Lord Revelstoke (1864-1934); sold Puttick & Simpson, London, 20-23 November 1934, Catalogue of an Important Collection of Old English Pottery, the property of the Rt. Hon. Lord Revelstoke, on 22nd November, p. 47, lot 570.
