Pottery: Unknown
Buff earthenware, thrown, the exterior glazed turquoise green, and painted in golden-yellow lustre; the interior coated with translucentgreenish glaze. From the side of a hollow vessel. The exterior is decorated with two wide horizontal bands with curving stems and a whirl above (or below).
History note: Probably found at Fostat (Old Cairo), Egypt; Henry Wallis (1830-1916); his son Harold Wallis, by whom given to Bernard Rackham (1876-1964)
