Description

White salt-glazed stoneware with scratch blue decoration. Part of a circular saucer with shallow curved sides, standing on a footring. The inside is decorated with part of a central circle of herringbone pattern, outside which is a five-petalled flower flanked by leaves. Round the edge two adjacent lines form a shallow scalloped border.

History note: Found in London in Tooley Street by G.F. Lawrence, and given by him to Bernard Rackham (1876-1964)
