Description

Yellow-glazed earthenware transfer-printed in black

Yellow-glazed earthenware printed onglaze in black. Circular with a narrow sloping rim, deep curved well, and flat centre. Decorated in the middle with a circular medallion enclosing a scene of huntsmen, horses, and hounds resting, titled in the lowest part of the circle, 'Le Repos' in script letters with '11' below. On the rim, between wide black bands, there is a continuous stem of stylized flowers and foliage.
