Potter: Mathews, Heber
Buff stoneware, thrown, and decorated in iron-brown under a clear, slightly brownish glaz, producing a speckled effect. Bulbous ovoid body with flat base and cylindrical neck, widening slightly towards the rim. Decorated on the shoulder with three swirls spearated by large dabs of iron-brown; the rim is encircled by a broad iron-brown band and there is another just below it.
