Tin-glazed earthenware painted in polychrome in Oriental style with lappets, sprays of flowers, two vases of flowers, rocks, two birds, and an insect
Buff earthenware, thrown, with applied handle. The base is unglazed and the rest of the surface is covered with pale turquoise tin-glaze, painted in blue, turquoise-green, yellow, and orange. The jug has a bulbous lower part, and a broad cylindrical neck. The handle has three loops of graduated size, and is rounded on the outside and concave inside. The top is pierced by a hole, probably for the attachment of a cover. The exterior is decorated in Oriental style with a row of lappets round the neck, and below, scattered sprays of flowers, two tall vases of flowers, rocks, two flying birds, and an insect. The handle is decorated with wavy v-shaped stripes in blue and orange.
