Fritware, moulded, painted in black and blue under a transparent glaze
Fritware, moulded, painted in blue with black outlining under a colourless glaze.
Shape: boat-shaped body terminating in lug handles, with slightly out-turned rim, sits on a low, ovular foot ring.
Interior: rim is painted blue. On the base lobbed cartouche, containing a leaf reserved in blue, are arranged in a quarter-foil pattern connected by a series of lines to form a rectangle.
Exterior: duck heads are painted on the lug handles while below the rim a frieze of dots is contained within concentric lines. On the body, painted in reserve on a blue background, flowers and leaves are painted on the sides with a cross-hatch pattern on the terminals. A pair of concentric lines is painted on the foot ring. The foot ring is glazed with the exception of the rim.
