Yellow-glazed earthenware, transfer-printed in faint dark brown and banded in silver (platinum) lustre

Yellow-glazed earthenware, transfer-printed in faint dark brown and banded in silver (platinum) lustre. Cylindrical wtih a loop handle. Decorated on the front with an elongated octagonal frame decorated with flower heads reserved in a striated ground, enclosing the inscription 'For my dear Boy' with a length of 'rope' below and a lenth of 'rope' and a flower above. The rim is encircled by a lustre band.
