Factory: Unidentified Staffordshire factory
Off-white stoneware, thrown, turned and salt-glazed. Cylindrical, with an applied strap handle with a pinched lower terminal. The exterior has a plain horizontal band at the top and bottom and narrowly-spaced turned bands over the area between them
History note: Powell, antique dealer, Regent Street, Cambridge; sale held in the Corn Exchange, Cambridge, c. 1913; sold to Mr C. Smith, tailor and dealer in antiques of St Ives, from whom purchased for £1.5s. on 19 November 1915 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, Trinity College, Cambridge
