Factory: Unidentified Staffordshire factory
White salt-glazed stoneware teapot standing on three feet with applied moulded relief decoration
Off-white stoneware, with thrown body, applied moulded spout, crabstock handle, three lion's mask and paw feet, and on the domed cover, a bird-shaped knob (replacement). The body is decorated on each side with a central rosette flanked by arrangements of scrolls with two oblong arrangements of scrolls below. Round the neck is a border of anthemion moifs and scrolls. On the cover there is a bunch of grapes, a floral spray, and a pair of C-scrolls.
